The Legislative Assembly obtains and publicizes information about the government’s performance and its future plans. Most government ministries and agencies are required by law to present their annual reports and performance plans to the Legislative Assembly.
With all the information that is publicly submitted to the Legislative Assembly, MLAs and the public can be better informed about the activities of government and may form a judgment as to whether the government is fulfilling its mandate effectively and economically.
