Making Private Members' Statements

Each week during Private Members' Time on Monday mornings, the Legislative Assembly sets aside one hour of debate for four statements by Private Members. Each statement can be up to 15 minutes long, and Members can use this opportunity to discuss matters of importance in their constituency or to the general public.

As well, up to six Private Members may make two-minute statements prior to Question Period (every Monday to Thursday) on a topic of their choice.
