Located in the West Annex, the current Premier's office was created during the 1970s and 1980s restoration and renovation of the Parliament Buildings. Its design is based on the existing ministerial offices in the main Parliament Buildings, and it is unique in that the interior is done entirely in cherry wood.
While it does contain the Premier's personal workspace, the actual Premier's office is more like a suite, and contains a reception area, staff workstations, and enough room to comfortably host guests and delegations for meetings.
