​​​​Just as Hansard is a substantially verbatim report of what was said by each MLA in the Legislative Assembly or in one of its committees, the daily Votes and Proceedings are similar to minutes and can best be described as the official summary record of the decisions and activities undertaken each day in the Legislative Assembly. A listing of all bills introduced, documents tabled, motions debated, decisions made, and the results of any votes in the Assembly are all recorded in the Votes and Proceedings. It also outlines the status of all legislation introduced in the session.​
