Orders of the Day, also known as the order paper, is the official agenda of the Legislative Assembly. It provides a comprehensive overview of the status of business that is before the Assembly. Under Standing Order 93, the Orders of the Day are published by the Office of the Clerk each day that the Assembly sits.
Its listings include the status of legislation, adjourned debates, motions, resolutions, and proposed amendments to bills, as well as other business like adjourned debates on motions and written questions on notice. Once the debate for any of these items concludes, it will no longer appear on the Orders of the Day.
The Government House Leader has the prerogative, usually in consultation with opposition House Leaders, to decide on the business of the day.
