Funding will be provided for a maximum of 40 people, per group. Larger groups will need to submit more than one tour booking request and grant application.
Funding will be provided for up to two accompanying adults, regardless of how many adults are travelling with the group.
Independent, First Nation, and SD93 schools will be assigned to the region where their school is located.
Online learning schools may be asked to provide information to show where the students in the group are travelling from.
A list of eligible schools in the Sooke School District are available on page 4 of the information sheet.
Grant Payment
The grant will be issued once both program requirements have been completed (the guided tour and the Virtual Classroom session).
Payment is issued directly to the school and cannot be issued to individuals.
